CAMPO is one of 25 Texas MPOs. ==Governance== CAMPO is governed by its CAMPO Transportation Policy Board (the CAMPO board) which is composed of state, regional, and local officials. The CAMPO board has 19 voting members, consisting mostly of elected politicians. The board Chairman is currently Hays County Commissioner Will Conley and Austin Mayor Lee Leffingwell currently serves as Vice-Chair. Of the elected officials one is a county judge, three are city council members, six are county commissioners, two are mayor pro-tems and four are mayors. The two unelected officials represent the Capital Metro transportation authority and the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Austin district. The board meets the second Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. Meetings are typically held on the University of Texas campus in the (Joe C.
